Nice job, hon.
Mirk taught me, too, back when I had no idea what a Photobucket account was. |

Thanks, Artanis and Cactuskim.
I'm glad that you liked them. I have been browsing everyones work as a guest for awhile now, and just loved all of it! It took me some time to get up the courage to show off some of the walls that I did. Everyone is so nice here, it was easy. Here is some more of my stuff: a couple of one of my b&w's with colour ![]() just playing around with colour and learning about photoimpressions ![]() ![]() my very first and second attempts at walls(before I figured out how to fade the layers. I was so jealous that it could be done but I didn't know how) ![]() not a wall but something I would frame and hang on the wall ![]() playing around with an idea. Wish my croping was better. This was my better attempt. I might go back and try again. ![]() |

Hi Krazymoonkat,
More fun walls . It is fun to experiment around in Photoshop isn't it.The last one you did, the one with Legolas and the butterflys is realy lovely. I really like the composition and setting that you have created, it creates a wonderful mood. You have also put together a seperate foreground figure, Midground and background which is very complex and difficult, and you have done a great job on it. If you are intrested, I know of a few things that you could do to make it even better if you wanted to tweak it a touch. If you take your Eraser tool with about a 5 pixel soft edged round brush with the strength set to about 30%, you can gently erase away the edges that are still showing the dark colors from the original background. that will give you a cleaner and smoother selection/crop on your main figure... you can do the same thing to the little butterfly on his finger. The front edge of his forehead and eye brow area is shifted cyan because of the light reflecting from the original background. unfortunatly you can not erase that because it would look odd, but you can fix the color on that part alone. Use one of your lassos (I like Polygon, but use what ever one you like best) and set it up with about a 3 to 5 pixel feather, and lasso that blue edge. Now You can use your color balancing tools to add in red to neurtalize the cyan color, OR if you have photoshop, you can use a Photofilter on it. for PS7 and above you will find your photofilters in Image>Adjustments>Photofilter. A photofilter will apply a a translucent wash of color over the image without effecting the detail. One of the Warming filters would probably work nice on that blue edge. Once he has nice clean edges without the color bleed from the previous background, You may want to play around with the focus on his setting (maintly the shutters, window seal, and candles). It is sharper than his figure, and if you blur it to match Legolas figure, it will look more natural and more intergrated. There are several Blur options in Photoshop, I like Gaussin Blur best, but you can play around with them and see what works best for you. With the edges on Legolas clean, and the focus better matched, you shoud get a really great well intergrated picture with a nice soft dreamy feeling. I'm really looking forward to seeing your final version. Cactuskim

Thank-you Cactuskim and Artanis.
Cactuskim, I really appreciate the tips. I am not too experienced with most of the things you said, but I'm going to take all the information and see what I can do. Your work is so good, I am honored that you have taken notice of mine and want to help. Kat Here are a few more walls: ![]() (going to go back over some of these in the future and tidy up my crops.) |

Hi Krazymoonkat,
Glad to be of help. . I didn't know how to open a new layer when I started 2 years ago, but some very nice people were willing to help me learn. It is nice to be able to help others in return.Cactuskim

thanks everyone!More walls or siggies, Gilraen? That is the first siggi I have ever made.(and only so far) Made special for here. It took me 9 tries to get it within the 19.5 kb limit, and still keep it how I liked it. I do have more wall thought... ![]() Hey, anyone want to play with this one? I started it but have not yet been inspired as to how to complete it. ![]() Also I don't mind if anyone wants to use or play around with my other stuff. Just show me what you come up with. I like to see ideas of things that could have been done better or different. |

Hi, Kat... just wanted to let you know, your sig doesn't have to be 19.5 kb, that's only if you use the Legolas Greenleaf site to host it. You can always upload your sig to your Photobucket account and just post the IMG link into the box labeled 'your signature' when you go to the 'edit your signature' section in the User CP.
I hope I made that clear. I'm a bit frazzeled today.I really like the way you have the sun set behind Legolas with the One Ring behind his name. Looks like an advert for the film ![]() Mirk

I'm going to go a bit off my ususl topic now. I hope it is ok to post these here. They are another favorite topic of mine. This one I could have kept on going with, the posibilities were endless. ![]() ![]() These I am going to go back, as my croping skills improve, so I can make nice large prints to frame for my walls at home. ![]() and just a couple more: ![]() |

Hi Krazymoonkat,
*Ahwwww* The ones of the children are darling. LOL, so your Hubby made you do a manip for him huh? Mine did that recently too. He had me make a manip of a 917 porshe race car realistically placed on a winding desert road so it looked like it was near our home. Love the new Legolas walls, I especially like what you did with the one called 'Placemat'... Very creative. Cactuskim
